Our 2022 Charities

Since the very beginning, Sample OK has been working alongside local charities. Money from each of our sales goes towards helping the charities we work with. Most of these charities work with women, children, and families as a whole. All of them benefit people living right here in Oklahoma. 

Our Charities

In 2021, we donated most of our charitable giving to five charities. Each of these charities will be awarded $1200 in 2022. They are free to use this money however they see fit. Below is a short list of our charities and what they do to benefit the people they help. You can learn more about any one of the charities by checking out the charity page on our website.

The Single Parent Support Network is exactly what it sounds like. Volunteers work to help single parents to get the support and resources they need to raise their children. The charity often hosts events and classes for both parents and children.

Cleats for Kids helps to get kids the sports shoes and equipment kids need. Sportswear and equipment are often expensive, and not being able to afford them can make it difficult for children to sign up to play the games they would like to. This charity collects lightly used sports equipment and redistributes it. This way, all kids have a chance to play without needing to worry about the cost.

The Green Shoe Foundation has less to do with shoes and has more to do with mental and physical health for families, starting with parents. This foundation works to help adults wade through their past and learn to heal. Both people with and without mental health issues can use benefit from this charity by learning how to create healthy daily life patterns and habits.

Day Springs Villa sounds like a day spa, but the building is actually a women’s shelter, located in Tulsa. This charity has been helping women since 1980 and plans to continue to do it for years to come. Many of the women who go to the shelters are victims of domestic abuse. The shelter gives them a place to stay while they work to get to a safe place and get back on their feet.

REAL Single Moms isn’t the new title of a hit reality show. Instead, this charity works to help single moms with everything they need to become a better version of themselves and take even better care of their children. This foundation often holds classes and events for mothers and children. Mothers of all ages and backgrounds are to be able to learn something from this charity!

The Read With Me Foundation

Starting in 2022, we will begin working with the Read With Me Foundation. This foundation was started by Oklahoma local, Shelly Dill and her sister. The Dill sister’s grandfather was illiterate for most of his life. Seeing this, the women were inspired to help children in the state learn how to read. This encouraged them to open their foundation in 2020.

The foundation works alongside The Imagination Library. This charity gives free books to children ages five and under– usually one book a month. While the Imagination Library is a national charity, the Read With Me Foundation focuses on children in Oklahoma. In 2021 alone, the charity gave away over 1500 books to kids!
