Christmas is almost here and there’s probably still some last-minute shopping that needs to be done. Even if you are reading this after Christmas, then you can start stocking up for next year. Either way, below are some quick gift ideas that work great for kids or adults.
Cocoa Bombs
Who doesn’t love hot chocolate on Christmas morning? By putting some in your stocking, you can start the day off right. For those who don’t know, hot chocolate bombs are (usually) hollow chocolate spheres filled with hot chocolate powder and sometimes marshmallows and other sweets. Put them in hot milk or water and they dissolve to make a tasty cup of hot cocoa. And to toot our own horn a bit, we have partnered with Sweet Temptations, a local vendor, to sell some in our online store.
Card Games
Whether you buy a deck of regular playing cards or go for something a little more specialized like Uno, you can’t really go wrong with a simple card game. There are tons of great games that you can play with a regular deck— both easy enough for kids to learn or complicated enough when just adults want to play. Best of all, most card games are small enough to easily fit in a stocking and usually don’t cost much more than a bag of candy would anyway.
Activity Books
Activity and coloring books aren’t just for kids. Even when ignoring the obvious adult coloring book option, there are still plenty of great activity books for adults. These can include more serious books that allow adults to journal, or something as classic as sudokus and crossword puzzles. For kids, you can stick to the classic mazes, coloring books, word searches, or whatever kind of activity book has their favorite characters on the cover.
Christmas is coming up quickly, so make sure you have everything you need to make this year’s stocking special. Use some of these ideas to help. We also won’t be upset if you decide to check out our online shop for even more ideas. Until next time, happy holidays!
