This year, Halloween takes place on a Monday. This weird timing means that most Halloween-related events in the state will be taking place on the weekend before Halloween, rather than on Halloween itself. No matter which day of the weekend you want to celebrate, or if you want to wait until Halloween itself, we have found a few great events to check out.

Halloween Ball (Friday)

The Oklahoma City Fairgrounds will be hosting a Halloween Ball on Friday, from 6:30 to 11:00 p.m. The main event will be held in the Hobbies, Arts & Crafts building. Adults of all ages are welcome to join, as well as children ages 13 and up. The ball includes live music, games, and more! Make sure to dress up to have a chance at winning the costume contest!ย

Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 13-17. This covers all of the games and dancing. Optionally, you can go to the bar or buy food while there as well.ย

Tripplerโ€™s Halloween Party (Saturday)

The Annual Tripplerโ€™s Halloween Party is taking place again this year, starting at 7:00 p.m. This event is meant mostly for adults. Anyone is welcome to stop in, free of charge. If you can, bring a snack to share with the other party-goers. Costumes are not required, but wearing one is sure to make the night extra fun. As a bonus, the Nightmare on Main Street Haunt is going on nearby!

Trunk or Treat (Sunday)

The Church of the Servan in Oklahoma City is hosting a Trunk or Treat event from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The event is free for all children to attend. While anyone can join, it will be tailored for kids ages 10 and under. Because of this, the church requests that only non-scary costumes are worn. Along with candy, kids can also get free balloon animals and face painting.

Adults are free to decorate their car trunks to give out their own snacks. If you do not want to decorate your trunk, but want to help out in other ways, the church is also looking for hospitality volunteers to help with setting up and cleaning up. They are also looking for baked goods and candy donations. If you want to volunteer, call Kourtney Aller at 728-4715.

Halloween Night at the Museumย  (Halloween)

The 8th annual Halloween Night at the Museum will be taking place at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore on Halloween night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This is a family-friendly event that all are welcome to attend. The event is free for everyone!

This event will have a combination of trick-or-treating and games. Over 25 groups from around the town will participate to make the event magical. Make sure to dress up and enjoy the treats. If you need a little more motivation to come, there will also be a bounce house!ย

Halloween only comes once a year, so you may as well do all you can to celebrate! Check out one or all of these events to make your Halloween weekend as spooky and fun as possible.
