A person’s mental health is just as important as their physical health. That’s why it’s so important to let your mind take a rest every once in a while and take a self-care day. While you can’t turn off your brain, short of napping all day, you can do other things to help to put your mind at ease. Better yet, you can do everything in this article at home for little or no money! 

At-Home Spa Treatment

Putting your mind at ease can start with putting your body at ease. One of the best ways to do this is to take a relaxing bath. Using a CBD bath bomb, scented bath bomb, bubble soap, or Epsom salts can make the bath even more enjoyable. Put on some tunes and light some candles to make the bath even better.

Even if you do not have a bathtub, you can still enjoy an at-home spa day. Using facemasks and other skincare products is another way to treat your body and mind. Use body scrubs to exfoliate, lotion to moisturize, and use anything else you can think of to pamper yourself.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy may sound fancy and expensive, but all it really means is using specific scents to create a mood. Because of this, there is no one scent that needs to be used. You can choose whatever scent you like best. There are also many different ways to use aromatherapy. You can use candles, room sprays, wax melts, incense, and even plain old air fresheners! Just pick your favorite scent and take a deep breath!

Meditation and Yoga

Both meditation and yoga take practice to master, but there are videos that even beginners can follow. Beginners to meditation should try out guided meditation videos first. This will help newbies to focus their attention and look inwards. Guided yoga videos are available all over the internet for free. Search for your level (beginner, intermediate, advanced, etc.) and any other specifics you want to try. Some great way to search for new yoga videos is to search by stretch types or pain types; for example, you might look up back pain or hip stretch videos. 

No matter what you decide to do on a self-care day, make sure that it is something that will help you to relax. Don’t pick anything that will take a lot of planning that might stress you out. Focus on enjoyment and block out all the rest!
